ABOUT SON SON
More Than Two Decades Supporting Vietnamese Fresh Fruit Exports Worldwide
Established in April 2001, Son Son Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company began its operations by providing irradiation and microbial decontamination services for seafood products, helping meet international food safety requirements while enhancing product value for export.
In 2008, Son Son reached a significant milestone by partnering with the regulatory authorities of Vietnam and the United States to implement the phytosanitary irradiation program, contributing to the successful entry of Vietnamese fresh fruit into the U.S. market.
Building on this achievement, in 2015 Son Son collaborated with the regulatory authorities of Vietnam and Australia to implement the phytosanitary irradiation program for fresh fruit exports to Australia. In 2018, the company further participated in the phytosanitary irradiation program supporting Vietnamese fresh fruit exports to New Zealand.
Following these important milestones, Son Son gradually transformed its business model to specialize exclusively in irradiation services for fresh fruit exports. Today, the company works closely with exporters to comply with the phytosanitary requirements of highly regulated international markets, helping enhance the value and global competitiveness of Vietnamese fresh fruit.
With more than 20 years of experience, Son Son continuously invests in advanced technology, operational excellence, and quality management systems to deliver safe, reliable, and internationally compliant irradiation solutions.
X-RAY IRRADIATION TECHNOLOGY
Advanced Technology for Fresh Fruit Exports
Son Son operates an X-ray irradiation system generated by Electron Accelerator technology for the phytosanitary treatment of fresh fruit exports. This advanced technology does not use radioactive sources, ensuring high standards of safety, operational reliability, and regulatory compliance.
With its superior penetration capability and uniform dose distribution, X-ray irradiation effectively eliminates quarantine pests while preserving the fruit's quality, appearance, flavor, and nutritional value after treatment. As a result, X-ray technology has become one of the preferred solutions adopted by many countries for the phytosanitary irradiation of fresh fruit intended for export.
Combined with a modern Electron Accelerator system and rigorous operational and quality control procedures, Son Son provides stable, safe, and reliable irradiation services that fully comply with the phytosanitary requirements of importing markets, including the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.
